We at House Peace typically recommend affordable organizing supplies from stores like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, Amazon, and the Container Store. You can find many of these items on our Instagram account under the Highlight called House Pieces, (and sprinkled among other Highlights) or you can sign up for our newsletter for a list of 10 Target favorites for organizing!

For today’s Holiday Gift List, I am going to throw in a few splurges so you can ask your mother-in-law or your sister for something to get you super organized! Don’t worry, everything is still simple, useful, and nice to look at. I’ll follow up with a list of what I personally am getting for my family.

White Adjustable Garage Work Bench with Drawers: I love this work bench and it is in one of our most recent garage jobs! The work surface looks like butcher block and you know I love the white! It’s adjustable, has wheels, and the two drawers are pretty long to hold just about any hand tool. They have several different lengths.

White Filing Cabinet: I have recommended this filing cabinet over and over! I bought one a year ago and I still love it.

White Standing Desk: CB2 has several sizes of this desk, but I bought the standing desk for my son’s computer. It is in our living area and I love how clean and pretty it is. (My son complains about it being a standing desk, but I tell him this is the price he pays for playing video games!)

Refrigerator Organizing Kit: I love every single item in this kit! All of us at House Peace are especially enamored with berry bins and egg holders.

Clear Turntable: The Home Edit also has a lovely turntable. See our blog post about turntables for ideas on how to use them, as well as other sizes and shapes!

Makeup Organization: I am partial to a simple divided drawer tray for makeup organization. If makeup is your thing though, be sure to check out the Luxe countertop organizers, including this unit and a palette organizer (which can go in other Luxe containers, or stand on it’s own) … it’s so clean and will help you keep track of your makeup inventory.

Jewelry Organization: These gorgeous stackable trays fit into a drawer and the velvet keeps your jewelry from sliding around.

And now for a gifting bonus: below are a few of the things am getting for my family this year. So if you know my family, let’s keep it quiet! :) I generally like to buy items that are consumable, super practical, or a fun splurge. No cheap junk that I know I will throw away by New Years.

Easy Bake Oven Mixes: These tend to be expensive (relatively speaking) so I don’t buy them. But my daughter LOVES her Easy Bake Oven and we make our own mixes at home. These packaged mixes are a fun, consumable splurge that she will really be excited about!

Land’s End Robe: Here’s a practical item that my daughter has been begging for months — so I might as well get credit for another gift under the tree! She will love that it has a hood.

Paintball Starter Kit: We found ours used on Ebay, but before that, we were considering the kits linked here.

Samsung Frame TV: Hellooooo, this is a gorgeous TV that looks like framed art when it’s powered off and it’s on my wish list. I would love to replace the mirror above my fireplace with a TV that won’t be on too much (too much noise in an open concept space!), but I’d like to have the option for movies or sports when we have friends and family over. One my friends has one and she loves it so much that she’s asking Santa for another one in a different room!

Wall-Mounted Basketball Goal: This is another practical gift for my kids that needed to happen regardless of the time of year! Our current basketball goal has had major repairs over the years and it is barely still standing. I’ll post a pic on Instagram so you can see how bad it is!

Hoverboard: My kids have had one to share for years, so this year I got another one to reduce infighting.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! If you’re in the Birmingham or Atlanta areas, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information on an in-home organizing job — our specialty! We also do virtual consults and would love to get you pointed in the right direction! And be sure to look around our Instagram page for inspiration and behind-the-scenes!
